A 33 SUBEN LOS CASOS DE RABIA EN LA REGIÓN AREQUIPA

06 abril 2021.- La Gerencia Regional de Salud Arequipa informa que se han detectado dos casos de rabia canina en nuestra región. Nuevamente Cerro Colorado es afectado por esta mortal enfermedad zoonótica, distrito que concentra el 55% de los casos (18) en el 2021.

En la zona C de Villa Cerrillos, un perro de 4 años y sin vacunar se tornó agresivo mordiendo todo a su alrededor, agrediendo a un adulto mayor y a un niño.

Asimismo, en la localidad de Señor del Gran Poder un perro de 3 años de edad presentó sintomatología similar, mordiendo a personas.

Debido a los continuos casos diagnosticados en este distrito, la GERESA a través de la Red de Salud Arequipa Caylloma / M.R. Zamácola y en coordinación con la Municipalidad de Cerro Colorado iniciarán el próximo sábado 17 de abril, un barrido en todo el distrito teniendo una meta a vacunar de 30,000 perros con propietario.

El M.V. Carlos Gonzáles Bedregal – Coordinador Regional de Zoonosis, manifestó que el barrido se realizará principalmente los fines de semana del mes de abril, interviniendo el 100% del distrito, siendo los días de la vacunación 17, 18, 23, 24 25 y 30 de abril, habiendo conformado 40 equipos de vacunación involucrando la participación de médicos veterinarios e inspectores sanitarios de los establecimientos de salud de la provincia de Arequipa.
