Arequipa 02 julio 2025.- En una reunión liderada por el gobernador regional, Rohel Sánchez Sánchez, las autoridades de Islay instaron a la empresa Tisur S.A. a intervenir de manera inmediata en la estabilización del talud del cerro Domo de la Virgen, ubicado en Matarani, zona actualmente bajo su concesión.

Este sector representa un grave riesgo para la vida y labor de los pescadores artesanales que operan cerca del área inestable. Ante la imposibilidad legal del Estado para intervenir directamente, se demandó que Tisur asuma su responsabilidad en coherencia con sus compromisos sociales y empresariales.

El gobernador regional informó que se viene gestionando con ProInversión la inclusión de una adenda en el contrato de concesión, para viabilizar las inversiones necesarias que garanticen la seguridad de la zona.

Autoridades locales y el Gobierno Regional coincidieron en que la solución a este problema requiere el compromiso firme de todos los actores, y que la participación del sector privado es fundamental e ineludible.
