Cocachacra 16 agosto 2023.- En actos litúrgicos por conmemorarse la Festividad de la Santísima Virgen de la Asunción de Cocachacra.

CONDECORAN A LA SANTÍSIMA VIRGEN DE LA ASUNCIÓN DE COCACHACRA

Cocachacra 16 agosto 2023.- En actos litúrgicos por conmemorarse la Festividad de la Santísima Virgen de la Asunción de Cocachacra, el día 15 de agosto, con repique de campanas, banda de música, el pueblo tambeño y con presencia de autoridades se realizó la condecoración entrega de medalla del Congreso de la República por funcionarios en representación del Congresista de la República Edwin Martínez Talavera; el Gobierno Regional de Arequipa en representación del Dr. Rohel Sánchez Sánchez el ing. José Paredes Gerente Regional de Agricultura hace entrega de condecoración con Medalla de Oro y diploma del Gobierno Regional de Arequipa; la Municipalidad Provincial de Islay en representación del Lic. Quim. Richard Ale Cruz el Regidor profesor Rubén Flores Laura entrega de condecoración medalla y acuerdo de concejo municipal Provincial de Islay que declara protectora, benefactora y Patrona de Cocachacra y la Provincia de Islay a la Santísima Virgen de la Asunción y la Municipalidad Distrital de Cocachacra en representación de Don Abel Suarez Ramos, los Regidores entregan diploma y medalla de oro del distrito, según Acuerdo de concejo municipal.

cabe resaltar que la Festividad de la Virgen de la Asunción data del año 1740 con la erección de la Parroquia de Tambo mediante cédula real del Rey Felipe V, siendo la Festividad más antigua de toda la Provincia de Islay.

Las gestiones estuvieron a cargo del Historiador y gestor cultural Tambeño Frank Joseph Velarde Zambrano en coordinación con las instituciones públicas, religiosas y autoridades del distrito.
