PRODUCE ALCANZA RÉCORD EN CONSUMO DE PESCADO  

19 noviembre 2021.- Alcanza récord histórico mayor a 1,675 toneladas hasta octubre, informó el ministro Jorge Prado :  

El Ministerio de la Producción informó que el consumo de pescado en nuestro país alcanzó un récord histórico al superar las 1,675 toneladas entre enero y octubre de este año, según las colocaciones realizadas a través de las ferias "Mi Pescadería" que impulsa el Programa Nacional "A Comer Pescado" (PNACP). 

Con ello, explicó el ministro de la Producción, Jorge Prado Palomino, el consumo de pescado se duplicó al comparar la cifra con la del año pasado, que fue 863,415 toneladas. 

Indicó además que este resultado se ha visto impulsado gracias al desarrollo de 4,690 actividades realizadas por el programa "A Comer Pescado" que beneficiaron a 1.6 millones de familias a nivel nacional. 

Prado Palomino, añadió que la idea del ministerio es llegar a distritos pobres y vulnerables dentro de las 25 regiones donde participan.  

“Hemos pasado de realizar 3,533 actividades a 4,631 en el período enero y octubre de 2020 y 2021”, añadió el titular de Produce.  

Añadió, además que a través de la estrategia "Conservas Peruanas en tu Mesa” se colocaron 1 millón 313 mil 018 latas de pescado elaboradas por Micro y Pequeñas Empresas Mypes del sector. El resultado representó un avance de 59% al compararse con las 825,188 latas que se vendieron de enero a octubre del año pasado. 

Regiones Power  

En el detalle de las cifras, solo en el mes de octubre, el Programa Nacional "A Comer Pescado" registró a Apurímac como la "Región Power" al consumir 156,902 kilogramos de pescado. En tanto, Lima y Junín registraron un consumo de 156,524 y 124,898 kilogramos, respectivamente. 

Las especies más promocionadas fueron bonito, caballa y jurel. Con ello, se promueve una nutrición sana para el país y, además, una participación de pescadores artesanales como proveedores directos de las pescaderías.
