SALUD DIAGNOSTICA QUINTO CASO DE RABIA CANINA

19 enero 2021.- El Gobierno Regional Arequipa a través de la Gerencia Regional de Salud informa que 05 personas han recibido atención médica en el Centro de Salud de Zamácola, al haber tenido contacto con un can enfermo con rabia. Esto debido a que se detectó un nuevo caso en el distrito de Cerro Colorado, sumando hasta el momento 05 perros con rabia en el 2021, de los cuales 04 corresponden a Cerro Colorado.

En el sector de UPIS El Salvador, un perro de año y seis meses de edad desarrolló esta mortal enfermedad, dado que no estaba vacunado y permanecía la mayor cantidad del tiempo deambulando en la vía pública.

Un equipo de la GERESA y de la Micro Red Zamácola acudieron a la zona inmunizando a 125 canes y difundiendo mensajes de prevención a toda la población para que sean responsables con sus mascotas. 

La rabia constituye un grave problema de salud pública, para su control y eliminación se requiere del compromiso de diferentes instituciones y sobre todo de las personas que no cumplen con su rol de dueños responsables en la crianza de sus perros.
