24 junio 2020.- La cifra de infectados por coronavirus en la región Arequipa alcanzó la cifra de 10 mil 34. Esto, luego que en las últimas 24 horas se detectaran 521 nuevos casos de la enfermedad, según la información difundida en el reporte diario del Comando Covid.

A esta cifra se le suman 8 fallecimientos ocurridos en las últimas horas. Con ellos, la cifra total suma 248 víctimas mortales en la región, desde que inició la pandemia.

Las pérdidas humanas son dos mujeres de 70 y 78 años y cuatro varones de 61, 61, 64 y 86 años que estaban internados en el Hospital Nacional Carlos Alberto Seguín Escobedo, de EsSalud. Además, una mujer de 61 años estaba internada en el hospital Honorio Delgado Espinoza. El deceso de un varón de 65 años fue notificado desde una clínica privada.

Muestreo y hospitalizados en Arequipa

Actualmente, del total de positivos covid-19 en la región, 455 están hospitalizados. Entre ellos, 72 que están internados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI).

La Dirección de Epidemiología de la Gerencia Regional de Salud ha procesado 152 mil 847 muestras, entre pruebas rápidas y moleculares. De ese total, 142 mil 782 resultaron negativas.

La cifra de pacientes a los que se ha dado el alta ha llegado a los 4 mil 498. Esto, luego que 142 personas con la enfermedad se recuperaran en las últimas horas.
