Mollendo 11 febrero 2026.- La semana pasada, el Ministerio de la Producción convocó a pescadores de todo el país a una reunión en la capital de la república. Los pescadores artesanales del sur decidieron no asistir porque, según informaron, fueron mecidos por dicho ministerio en varias oportunidades.

Mollendo 11 febrero 2026.- La semana pasada, el Ministerio de la Producción convocó a pescadores de todo el país a una reunión en la capital de la república. Los pescadores artesanales del sur decidieron no asistir porque, según informaron, fueron mecidos por dicho ministerio en varias oportunidades ante reclamos presentados en Tacna y en la misma capital. Por ello, se han dirigido a la PCM solicitando una reunión con autoridades de más alto nivel; es decir, no con el ministro de la Producción, sino con el presidente de la PCM e inclusive con el presidente de la república. Buscan solucionar la competencia desleal de embarcaciones del norte que pescan en el sur. Edgar  Jiménez, presidente de los pescadores artesanales de la Macro Sur, dio un plazo : si la PCM no convoca la reunión, iniciarán una paralización indefinida. Todo indica que la medida de fuerza se acerca, pues no hay visos de que el pedido sea aceptado. Entonces parece que se hace realidad este ultimátum pesquero.
