09 noviembre 2025.- El Congreso de la República alcanzará a fines de 2025 su mayor nivel de gasto en planillas y beneficios laborales en más de una década, superando los S/ 800 millones, según un análisis del especialista en datos Juan Carbajal basado en cifras oficiales del Portal de Transparencia.

Carbajal destacó que los desembolsos del Parlamento han crecido de manera sostenida desde 2021, impulsados por la contratación de más asesores, personal administrativo y técnicos de apoyo. En 2014, el gasto no llegaba a S/ 500 millones; once años después bordea los S/ 820 millones, un aumento superior al 60%.

El Congreso cuenta actualmente con más de 3,600 trabajadores, y cada despacho parlamentario dispone de un presupuesto promedio mensual de S/ 47,000 para su equipo de asesores. A ello se suman bonificaciones extraordinarias y pedidos sindicales de nuevos incentivos económicos.

Mientras la institución enfrenta una de las tasas más altas de desaprobación ciudadana, su gasto interno continúa en ascenso. El incremento, en un contexto de restricciones fiscales, reaviva el debate sobre la transparencia y eficiencia del manejo presupuestal del Parlamento.
