SAN CAMILO ES NUESTRO

Mollendo 29 octubre 2025.- El anexo 7 San Camilo pertenece al distrito de Cocachacra, por ende, a la provincia de Islay; sin embargo, el congresista arequipeño Alex Paredes presentó un anteproyecto ante el Congreso de la República para crear el distrito de San Camilo, separándolo de su jurisdicción actual y anexándolo a la provincia de Arequipa.

Mollendo 29 octubre 2025.- El anexo 7 San Camilo pertenece al distrito de Cocachacra, por ende, a la provincia de Islay; sin embargo, el congresista arequipeño Alex Paredes presentó un anteproyecto ante el Congreso de la República para crear el distrito de San Camilo, separándolo de su jurisdicción actual y anexándolo a la provincia de Arequipa.

Esta propuesta ha generado una fuerte reacción en el valle, ya que existen documentos que confirman que desde su creación San Camilo pertenece legalmente a Cocachacra. Paredes conoce ese hecho, pero se descubrió que este proyecto data del 2024 y lleva la firma, entre otros, del actual encargado de la presidencia, José Jerí, lo que genera sospechas de un aprovechamiento político. Ante ello, el alcalde de Cocachacra ha remitido múltiples documentos al Congreso y al Ejecutivo, y ha sostenido reuniones en San Camilo, que rechaza la propuesta que tendría otros intereses según hemos averiguado. Recordemos, San Camilo es nuestro.
