Mollendo 18 marzo 2025.- El Gobernador regional Rohel Sánchez entregó moderno plantel que beneficiará a más de 450 alumnos del nivel primario.

¡Histórico! Tras 148 años de su fundación, la emblemática Institución Educativa N° 40472 Carlos Manuel Febres, del distrito de Mollendo (Islay), cuenta con una nueva infraestructura que beneficiará a 400 alumnos del nivel primario y 72 de inicial. La gestión liderada por el Dr. Rohel Sánchez Sánchez sigue marcando un hito por el compromiso con la calidad educativa, inaugurando el moderno plantel que desde la fecha acoge a los menores en este inicio del Año Escolar 2025.

El gobernador regional llegó hasta el distrito ubicado en la provincia de Islay para entregar la obra culminada que correspondía a un saldo de obra, puesto que anteriormente se ejecutó el nivel inicial, siendo la inversión para lo faltante de 3 millones 611 mil 845.53 soles.

Esta obra representa un anhelo de toda la comunidad al haber albergado a generaciones de estudiantes que durante años pidieron sea modernizada. Conocido como el “Colegio Centro”, esta institución tiene un área de 4 309 m2. La nueva construcción cuenta con 6 aulas (adicional a las 10 ya existentes), pedagogía, cómputo, biblioteca, tópico, archivo, 2 vestidores, dirección, sala de profesores, administración, cocina, comedor; además de los espacios abiertos.

Asimismo, incluye todo el mobiliario y equipamiento necesario, con laptops, computadoras, cañones multimedia, sistemas de proyección multimedia, televisores, Blu-ray, impresoras, entre otros; además del equipamiento de la banda musical.

El gobernador resaltó la inversión que se viene realizando para el sector educativo, es así que a la fecha -desde el inicio de su gestión- se han entregado 29 modernas infraestructuras, otras 34 se encuentran en ejecución con una inversión de más de 1000 millones de soles.

Mientras que, el alcalde, director, profesores, alumnos, padres de familia y ciudadanía en general, agradecieron esta importante intervención que representará un cambio y desarrollo en la formación de los menores. En la provincia de Islay, un total de 12 760 estudiantes retornaron a las aulas en este Año Escolar 2025.
