Arequipa 29 febrero 2020.- A primeras horas del sábado 29 de febrero el Presidente del Consejo de Ministros (PCM), Vicente Zevallos, arribó a la ciudad de Arequipa con el objetivo de visitar las zonas que fueron afectadas por las intensas lluvias que se registraron en esta localidad.
El Jefe del Gabinete Ministerial estuvo acompañado del jefe del INDECI, Gral. Jorge Chávez, y el jefe de CENEPRED, Juvenal Medina; además del gobernador regional de Arequipa, Elmer Cáceres Llica, burgomaestre distritales y otras autoridades.
Uno de los primeros lugares en inspeccionar fue el puente Monserrat donde constató que se están efectuando labores de rehabilitación, luego se dirigió hasta el distrito de Yanahuara donde 4 viviendas fueron carcomidas por la activación de la torrentera Chullo, luego estuvo en Paucarpata donde dialogó con el burgomaestre de la zona, José Supo.
