Arequipa 25 octubre 2024.- La presidenta del Comité de Damas del Gobierno Regional de Arequipa, Luz Marina Zeballos Patrón, inauguró la Feria de la Persona con Discapacidad en la Plaza 15 de agosto.

“Desde el gobierno regional consideramos que, ustedes son importantes para la sociedad y es por ello desarrollamos este tipo de espacios que les permiten dinamizar su economía y visibilizarlos. El compromiso del gobernador es continuar en su trabajo para una sociedad más inclusiva”, señaló la presidenta del Comité de Damas.

En su primera edición, la feria alberga a más de 40 personas con la venta de diversos productos elaborados con sus propias manos, los cuales los ofertarán el jueves 24 y viernes 25 de octubre desde las 8:00 hasta las 17:00 horas y el sábado desde las 8:00 hasta las 12:00 horas.

El subgerente de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Franco Navarro Rondón, señaló que, las ferias son espacios para que aquellas personas que no son visibles a la sociedad y no tienen oportunidades, puedan sobresalir y dinamizar su economía.

“Tenemos el encargo del gobernador regional para trabajar por la población vulnerable y en esa línea organizamos estos espacios para concientizar a la población y puedan ayudar a surgir a las personas con discapacidad, mediante la compra de sus productos”, señaló.

En la feria podrán encontrar bisutería, flores de papel, tejidos, libros, productos comestibles, quiropraxia, sillas de ruedas, entre otros.

Carmen Huamaní Lupaca, asistente coordinadora de la feria, señaló que, es la primera edición del certamen y en los siguientes años se desarrollarán más ediciones en espacios amplios y con la convocatoria de más personas con discapacidad.

“En esta feria tenemos a personas con discapacidad de Yanahuara, Uchumayo, Sabandía, Cerro Colorado, también de algunas asociaciones”, señaló.

Se invita a la población a participar activamente de la feria y de esta manera apoyar a las personas con discapacidad.
